Sinopsis

Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig) tak ingat apa yang telah terjadi pada dirinya. Ia bahkan tak ingat siapa dirinya lagi. Yang ia tahu, saat pertama kali terbangun, di pergelangan tangannya melingkar sebuah belenggu berbentuk aneh yang tak bisa ia lepaskan. Tak tahu harus bagaimana, satu-satunya harapan adalah mencari informasi di kota terdekat.

Ketika Jake memasuki kota kecil bernama Absolution ini, semua orang seakan mencoba menghindar. Jake akhirnya tahu kalau ia sebenarnya adalah seorang penjahat yang diburu di banyak tempat termasuk di Absolution sendiri. Absolution sendiri adalah kota yang berada di bawah kendali Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). Seperti kebanyakan penegak hukum, Dolarhyde pun menginginkan kepala Jake.
